Peppol prices in Belgium
What does it cost to send and receive e-invoices over Peppol? From EUR 0 to a few tens of euros a month for a small business, depending on what you need. The FPS Finance notes that the cost of the legal obligation can even be zero when it's part of something you already pay for, such as your accounting package or bank account [2].

Four pricing models
- Volume: you pay per tier of documents. Note that some tools also count received invoices.
- Per user: typical of CRM and ERP packages. Cheap for one user, pricier for a team.
- Flat: one amount per month or year, often with unlimited invoices.
- Per invoice: you buy credits and pay per invoice sent.
How to compare fairly
- Excl. or incl. VAT? Most prices exclude VAT; some pages don't say.
- Yearly or monthly? Many entry prices only apply with yearly billing.
- Send and receive? Some cheap plans only receive, or (like Teamleader Focus Smart) only send.
- After the trial? "First year free" is not a free plan.
Tax advantage
Small SMEs and the self-employed may apply a 120% increased cost deduction in tax periods 2024 to 2027 to invoicing-software subscriptions and advisory costs for the new obligation. The e-invoicing surcharge on an existing subscription counts if it's shown separately on the invoice [1].
