Odoo

Odoo is Belgian open-source business software (ERP) with apps for invoicing, accounting, sales, inventory and more. Odoo is itself a Peppol access point and address book (SMP) ^[3]. For Peppol, Odoo promises "free, unlimited" sending and receiving, where other access points charge per document or with credits ^[1].

What's free, and when do you pay?

• With One App Free you use one Odoo app free of charge, with no time limit ^[2]. With the Invoicing app you can create invoices and send and receive them over Peppol.
• Once you add a second app (Sales, CRM, Inventory…), you move to a paid per-user plan ^[2].
• Odoo's paid prices depend on your country; the pricing page shows the price for the visitor's location. We couldn't verify the Belgian price from abroad, so we don't list an amount here. Check Odoo's pricing page from Belgium ^[2].

Who it suits

• Sole traders and small businesses who want to invoice over Peppol for free and don't mind a fuller system.
• Businesses that later want to connect sales, inventory or projects.

What to watch

• Odoo is broader than a simple invoicing app. The initial setup (VAT codes, accounts, Peppol registration) takes a bit more time.
• The free plan covers one app. If you also want to do your bookkeeping in Odoo, check that it fits within that app.
