Terms of service for accounts, paid plans and Featured listings
These terms apply when you create an account on E-Invoice Map, buy a paid plan, book a Featured listing or send us corrections for a provider profile. Using the free tools without an account (lookup, viewer, guides) needs no account and is covered by the legal notice and the privacy policy. These terms exist in English only, and the contract is made in English.
1. Who we are
The service is provided by Mohamed (Mo) Farag, self-employed (autónomo), NIF Z1903255X, Carrer de Floridablanca 68, Local 9F, 08015 Barcelona, Spain, [email protected] ("we").
2. Who can sign up
- Businesses only. You sign up on behalf of a business (a company, a self-employed professional or a public body) and confirm that you may bind it. The service is not offered to consumers.
- Your confirmation. You confirm that you act only for your trade, business or profession. If, under the law, you turn out to be a consumer, tell us: we cancel the plan or booking and refund everything you paid. Rights that the law gives a consumer and that cannot be waived remain.
- Not available to businesses established in Spain. We refuse sign-ups and payments where the business, its address, its VAT number or its payment card is Spanish. If we find out later, we close the paid plan or booking and refund what you paid for the current period.
- You give correct details (company name, country, VAT number where you have one) and keep them up to date.
2a. How the contract is made
- Free plan: you fill in the sign-up form, accept these terms, and confirm by the link we email you. The contract starts when you open that link.
- Paid plan or Featured listing: from your account you choose what to buy, check your company details, accept these terms, and pay on Stripe's page. The contract starts when Stripe confirms the payment. We then email you a confirmation of what you bought; Stripe emails the receipt and the invoice.
- You can correct your details on each form before sending it, and on Stripe's page before paying.
- We keep the contract: the version of these terms you accepted (its date and a fingerprint of its text), when you accepted it, and what you bought. We keep this for six years after the contract ends. You can ask us for a copy at [email protected]. We keep every version of these terms with its date; you can save or print this page.
3. What the service does, and what it doesn't
- We check identifiers you give us against the public Peppol network (the SML and each company's SMP) and show what it returned: whether the company can receive e-invoices, through which provider, which document types, and the provider's certificate. We tell you when that changes.
- The answers are information, not advice and not an official certificate. The network can be wrong, out of date or unavailable, and a company can change its registration at any time. Check before you rely on an answer for a legal or tax decision.
- The evidence PDF records what the network answered when we checked. It is a record, not an official certificate.
- We never send, receive, convert or store invoices for you.
- We aim for the service to be available and the checks to run on time, but we don't guarantee either.
4. Plans and limits
Each plan's features and limits are listed on the plans page.
- The free plan may change or end with 30 days' notice.
- If you go over a limit, adding more stops; what you already have stays until you remove it or change plan. After a move to a smaller plan, the entries above its limit are paused, not deleted, and come back when the plan allows them.
- Don't resell or publish the results as a dataset, don't use the service to build lists of companies for marketing, and don't overload it (automated access only through the API key your plan includes, within its limits). Keep API keys and login links to yourself.
- API and webhooks. Keep your API key and webhook signing secret to yourself and tell us at once if one leaks. Stay within your plan's rate limit. A webhook can arrive more than once: check its signature and ignore repeats. We may block a key that harms the service, and tell you why where we can.
5. Prices, billing and cancellation
- Prices are shown excluding VAT. EU businesses pay no Spanish VAT: the reverse-charge rule applies and you account for VAT in your country (that's why we need a valid VAT number, checked in the EU's VIES system). Businesses outside the EU are invoiced without Spanish VAT, as the service is supplied where you are established.
- Plans and Featured listings are paid in advance, by card through Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time in the billing portal. What you paid for stays active until the end of the period you paid for; we don't refund unused parts of a period, unless the law requires it or these terms say so.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal; if you don't agree, cancel before then.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries for a while; after that the account returns to the free plan, or the Featured listing ends.
6. Featured listings
- What you buy. A labelled, paid box for one of your products in one country, shown where the advertise page says. It costs the price shown when you book (today €149 per country per month), excluding VAT, billed monthly in advance. At most 3 listings per country.
- Who can book. You book from an account whose login email address is at the product's own website domain.
- What it is not. It never changes the data about your product, the order of any list, a lookup result or a report. It is always labelled as an ad. We don't promise visits, clicks or sales.
- Start and end. The box appears with the next daily update of the site, normally within 24 hours of payment, and runs to the last day of the period you paid for. If you cancel, it stays until then.
- Your content. The box shows your product's name, price and free-plan facts from your profile and a link to your website. You confirm that what you give us is accurate, lawful and yours to use, and you answer for it.
- Refusal and removal. We may refuse a booking, or remove a box, if its content is wrong, misleading or unlawful, if you break these terms, or if the booking breaks our rules (for example a business in Spain, or all places taken). A refused booking is refunded in full.
- If we don't show it. If we don't show your box for a reason on our side, we show it later for the same number of days, or refund the days not shown; you choose. If we remove it because you broke these terms, nothing is refunded.
7. Provider profiles and claims
- If you claim a provider profile, you confirm that you may act for the company, and you may send us corrections (each with a link to a page on your own website as the source), a description of at most 300 characters in plain text without links or contact details, and a logo (PNG or JPEG).
- What you send must be true, about your own product, and must not name or criticise other providers, make claims we can't check (such as "the best" or "number 1"), or infringe anyone's rights.
- A person reads every submission before it is published. We use no automated decisions. We may shorten or correct the text, or refuse or later remove anything, if it is wrong, misleading, unlawful or breaks these rules. Claiming never changes your position in any list.
- You keep all your rights. You give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to show your logo and description on our pages, comparison tables, feeds and embeds, in every language version, and to resize and re-encode the logo, for as long as your profile is listed and 12 months after.
- To have your logo or description removed, write to [email protected] from an address at your verified domain. We remove it within 7 days.
- If we remove or refuse your content and we have your contact details (an account or a Featured booking), we tell you why and how to challenge it. You can ask us to look again by writing to [email protected]; we answer within 14 days. You can also go to court or to an out-of-court dispute body.
8. Your data
- The identifiers, references and client names you add are yours. We process them only to provide the service, as your processor, under the data processing terms.
- How we handle your own account data (login email, company details) is in the privacy notice for accounts.
- When you close your account, it closes at once if you have nothing paid; with a paid plan or Featured listing, it closes at the end of the period you paid for. Everything is deleted 30 days after it closes. Invoices, the tax evidence for them (such as the VIES check of your VAT number) and the record of the contract are kept for six years.
9. Liability
- We are liable without limit for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and as the law otherwise requires.
- Otherwise our total liability under these terms, for all claims together, is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event, and never less than €100. We are not liable for indirect damage, lost profit or lost data that a reasonable backup would have avoided.
- Events beyond our control. Neither side is liable for a failure caused by something it could not reasonably foresee or avoid, such as a failure of the Peppol network, Stripe, our host or the internet, a cyber attack, or an act of a government. Money due for periods already served is still due.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account, or end a Featured listing, that breaks these terms (for example a Spanish business, false details, misuse or non-payment), after telling you why where we can. You can close your account at any time on the account page.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a change that affects you takes effect; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you accept it, and we record which version applies to you.
12. Law and courts
These terms are governed by Spanish law. The courts of Spain have exclusive jurisdiction; within Spain, the courts of Barcelona, as far as the law allows this to be agreed. Rights that the law gives a consumer and that cannot be waived remain.
