Accounting software with a built-in e-invoicing connection
For a small business, the simplest UAE e-invoicing setup is usually this: you keep invoicing from your accounting software, and the software sends each invoice to an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) for you. You appoint one ASP for both sending and receiving [2], so it also matters whether incoming e-invoices land back in your software.
There are three situations, as of 6 October 2026.
How we earn money: labelled ads, affiliate links and optional paid plans. The order below is not paid. How we rank
1. The software company is itself an ASP
These vendors appear on the Ministry of Finance ASP list [1] and sell accounting or ERP software with e-invoicing built in.
| Software | For whom | Published price and e-invoicing terms | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoho Books | Small businesses | E-invoicing add-on from the Professional plan (AED 129/month, or AED 90/month billed annually); first 100 e-invoice transactions free, then packs from AED 41 per 100. The Free plan cannot use e-invoicing | [3][4] |
| Wafeq | SMEs | Plans from AED 69/month; the pricing page does not say which plans include e-invoicing | [5] |
| TallyPrime | Small and mid-size businesses | Silver licence AED 2,340 one-off (incl. 1 year of updates) or AED 78/month rental; Tally advertises "unlimited e-invoices at no incremental cost" | [6][7] |
| PACT REVENU | Businesses using PACT's ERP | On request | [8] |
| Focus E-Invoice (Focus Softnet) | Enterprises; works with your existing ERP | On request | [9] |
| SAP | SAP ERP customers | On request | [10] |
The Ministry list also includes industry ERPs with e-invoicing inside, for example a freight-forwarding ERP. See the ASP list with the "built into accounting software" filter.
2. The software connects to a named ASP
| Software | ASP | Published terms | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xero | Casim (on the MoF list) | Set up in Xero's e-invoicing platform with your Xero login, then select Casim as your ASP in EmaraTax. Included "at no additional cost" on the Starter, Standard and Premium plans (USD 29, 50 and 75 per month) | [11][12] |
With this route, the contract for e-invoicing is with the named ASP, chosen through EmaraTax, even though you work from your accounting software [2][11].
3. Nothing announced by the software vendor yet
On 6 October 2026, these vendors' own pages had no UAE e-invoicing product or named ASP:
- QuickBooks Online: an Intuit staff reply (December 2025) says QuickBooks Online "doesn't directly support e-invoicing for the UAE", with no announced plans, and points to third-party apps [13].
- Odoo: Odoo says its ISO 27001 certification enables it to operate a Peppol access point in the UAE, but no UAE e-invoicing product or date is announced [14].
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central: the UAE is not an official Microsoft localisation for e-invoicing; Microsoft points to partner apps on its Marketplace [15].
- Sage (Middle East site): no UAE e-invoicing statement on its UAE pages [16].
If you use one of these, you don't need to switch software. Many ASPs say they connect to them. For example, on their own UAE pages: Tech Ventures lists Business Central and Odoo [17], DigiTax lists QuickBooks, Sage and Odoo [18], and Citytech lists QuickBooks [19]. Ask the ASP whether the connector covers receiving too, and whether there is a setup fee.
How to decide
- Check whether your current software is in group 1 or 2. If so, ask your vendor when e-invoicing is switched on for your plan and what it costs above any free quota.
- If it is in group 3, shortlist ASPs that name your software on their own website, and ask your software vendor whether a connector is coming before 31 March 2027.
- Don't forget the 100 free e-invoices per year that every ASP commits to; see choosing an ASP as an SME.
- Check the vendor's ASP status on the Ministry list [1]. A vendor's website saying "accredited" is not enough: the Ministry list is the reference.
Why this table changes often
Software vendors are announcing UAE connectors month by month ahead of the 1 July 2027 go-live. We re-check vendor pages monthly and the Ministry list weekly. If your vendor has announced something we missed, use the correction link.
Prices from vendor websites on 6 October 2026; they can change. Some links may be affiliate links, labelled "Ad"; they don't affect which software is listed or how. Information, not legal or tax advice.
