PINT AE invoice viewer
The file never leaves your browser: it is opened and shown on your device only.
Install the app. Open e-invoice files straight from your computer or phone, also offline. Files stay on your device.
Use offline. Keep the viewer on this device so it also works without a connection. Your browser saves a copy of our pages and the viewer; turn it off to remove the copy. Invoice files are never uploaded.
Drop a UAE e-invoice (an .xml file) into the box above to read it as a normal invoice. It works for PINT AE
invoices and credit notes, and also for European Peppol BIS, XRechnung and other UBL/CII invoices.
Why you need a viewer
From your go-live date, UAE e-invoices are XML files, not PDFs, and they carry no QR code [1]. Most accounting software shows the invoice for you. You need a viewer when:
- a supplier or your ASP sends you the raw XML file;
- you want to check what was actually sent to the buyer and reported to the FTA;
- you are testing your ASP connection before go-live and want to read the test files;
- an auditor or colleague asks for "the e-invoice" and you only have the file.
What it shows
The standard view shows seller, buyer, invoice number and dates, lines, VAT breakdown, totals, payment details and attachments. Below it, a "UAE details" panel shows the fields specific to PINT AE that general viewers drop:
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| UUID | The unique 128-bit identifier generated for each tax invoice, on top of the invoice number [1] |
| Issue time | Time of issue, next to the date |
| Transaction type | The eight PINT AE flags, decoded: free trade zone, deemed supply, profit margin scheme, summary invoice, continuous supply, agent billing, supply through e-commerce, exports [1][2] |
| Exchange rate | For invoices in a foreign currency, the rate to AED |
| Credit note reason | Why a credit note was issued |
| Billing frequency | For continuous supplies |
| Principal ID | For invoices issued by an agent on behalf of a principal [1] |
| Delivery terms | Incoterms, for exports |
| Line VAT | VAT and amount including VAT per line, exemption reason codes |
How well it works (our test)
We tested the viewer on the 30 official PINT AE sample files published by OpenPeppol (27 invoices, 3 credit notes) [2]. All 30 rendered. With the "UAE details" panel, 95% of the values in the files appear on screen; the rest are yes/no flags shown in decoded form. Without the panel, a general viewer showed 91%.
One note on the official samples: the file named "Supply through e-commerce" sets the exports flag, not the e-commerce flag. We decode flags by the official code list, not by file names [2].
What it does not do
- It does not validate. It shows what is in the file; it does not tell you whether the invoice passes the PINT AE rules. A validator is planned.
- It does not create or edit invoices. It is read-only. To issue e-invoices you need an Accredited Service Provider.
- It is not the legal original. The XML file is the invoice; the rendered view is a reading aid.

Rendering uses the KoSIT xrechnung-visualization stylesheets (Apache-2.0) [3], run with SaxonJS, plus our own
UAE panel. PINT AE is a specification published by OpenPeppol [2]. Full licences are on the licence page.
