Choosing an ASP as an SME: prices and cheapest options

If your revenue is below AED 50 million, you must appoint an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) by 31 March 2027 and go live by 1 July 2027 [3]. There were 64 accredited providers on the Ministry of Finance list on 6 October 2026 [10]. This page helps a small business narrow that down, starting with cost.

First: the 100 free e-invoices

Every ASP, to get accredited, declares that it is "committed to providing per annum (100) hundred free eInvoice exchange and reporting services" from the date you sign the end-user agreement [2]. The Ministry's own guidance recommends that you make sure this is written into your contract [1].

If you send fewer than about 100 invoices a year, this may cover much of your volume. Few providers mention it on their websites, so raise it when you ask for a quote.

What published prices look like

Most ASPs quote on request. The few that publish prices fall into three groups. All figures were taken from the vendors' own pages on 6 October 2026; check the current price before you sign.

1. Accounting software that is itself an ASP

The e-invoicing connection is part of the software you invoice from, with no separate integration.

Product Published price E-invoicing terms stated Source
Zoho Books Professional plan AED 129/month (AED 90/month billed annually) E-invoicing add-on from Professional up; first 100 transactions free; then packs from AED 41 per 100. Not available on the Free plan [4]
Wafeq Starter AED 69/month (AED 690/year) The pricing page does not say which plans include e-invoicing; ask [5]
TallyPrime Silver (single user) AED 2,340 one-off incl. 1 year of updates, or AED 78/month rental Built into TallyPrime, with Tally as the ASP; Tally advertises "unlimited e-invoices at no incremental cost" [6][7]

2. Stand-alone ASPs with public prices

Provider Published price Notes Source
Aigentrix (TronStride) Free plan: 100 documents/year. Startup AED 1,470/year for 500 documents; Essential AED 2,205/year for 1,200 Larger tiers up to 120,000 documents/year are listed on the same page [12]
Fynamics From AED 4,500/year, excl. VAT Plus a one-time onboarding fee; price rises with invoice volume [8]
Fatorly Free plan: 100 documents a year per company; paid tiers on request Written quotes; a fixed one-time price per accounting system you connect [9]

3. Everyone else: "on request"

For the other providers, price depends on invoice volume, number of legal entities and integration method. The ASP list marks each one and links its profile.

The cheapest path, in practice

  • Fewer than ~100 invoices a year: the statutory 100 free e-invoices [2] may be enough. Get it in writing, and ask what happens above 100.
  • You already use accounting software that is an ASP: using its built-in connection is usually the simplest setup and avoids integration fees. Compare its e-invoicing fee with a stand-alone quote.
  • Your software is not an ASP: check whether it has a ready-made connector to one. See accounting software with a built-in ASP connection.
  • Many invoices or several entities: ask three providers for a quote on the same volume.

What to ask before you sign

The Ministry published a checklist [1]. The questions that matter most for a small business:

  1. Pricing model: subscription, per invoice, or both? Any setup, integration or overage fees? Are the 100 free e-invoices per year in the contract? [1]
  2. Your software: do you have a ready connector for my accounting software, or do I upload files or type invoices into a portal? [1]
  3. Product ownership: is the platform yours or a third party's? Who provides support? [1]
  4. Support and uptime: response times, service-level commitments, support language [1].
  5. Data: where is the data stored, and can you export your invoices if you leave? [1]
  6. Experience: how long have you been a Peppol service provider, and since when are you accredited in the UAE? [1] The accreditation number is on the Ministry list [10].
  7. Receiving: will incoming e-invoices arrive in my accounting software automatically, or in a separate portal? You appoint one ASP for both sending and receiving [11].

After you choose

Appointing is done in EmaraTax: select your ASP in the e-invoicing section and continue on its portal [11]. Then agree how invoice data is sent, test sending and receiving, and go live by 1 July 2027.
