Will my EHF invoice arrive in Norway?

Type your customer's organisation number (9 digits), choose what you're sending (invoice, credit note or self-billing invoice), and see whether that document can be delivered over Peppol today. You can check your own number the same way.

Look up a company

What are you sending?
Whose number is this?

Only the number you type is sent. We show the e-invoicing provider only: no names, no contact data. Name search asks the official register directly from your browser; we never see or keep the name.

What the check tells you

The check asks the Peppol network the same questions an access point asks before it sends:

  • Registered? Whether 0192: plus the organisation number is registered as a receiver [3][4].
  • Does the provider's record answer? Whether the address register (SMP) holding the registration can be read.
  • Is your document accepted? Invoice, credit note and self-billing invoice are separate document types [4], and a registration lists each one the business accepts [5]. Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 is the same as an EHF invoice [3].
  • Is the provider's certificate valid? Valid, expiring within 30 days, or expired.

You get a verdict, the exact Peppol ID to use and, if it can't go over Peppol, what Norwegian rules allow instead. We show no names or contact details, and there is no reverse search.

Why it matters from 2027

From 1 January 2027 you must send e-invoices to bookkeeping-liable customers. Until 1 January 2030 this in practice applies only when the customer can receive them, meaning it is registered in ELMA/Peppol [1]. So the check also answers: must I send EHF to this customer? Approved formats are EHF Invoicing, Peppol BIS Billing, EHF Self-Billing and Peppol BIS Self-Billing, version 3.0 or later [2].

Why an EHF invoice doesn't arrive

  1. Not registered, or not updated yet. DFØ names three reasons for no hit: the business isn't registered as a receiver, the register hasn't picked up a change yet, or the search used the wrong number [3].
  2. Credit note or self-billing not registered. If the customer only registered the invoice type, a credit note has nowhere to go: an access point must refuse a document type it doesn't serve for that receiver [6]. For self-billing, the supplier has to be registered to receive the self-billing type.
  3. Expired certificate. The sending access point must verify the receiver's certificate it fetches from the address register [6]. An expired certificate stops delivery until the provider renews it.

What to do next

  • Copy the Peppol ID from the result and send to exactly that address.
  • Customer registered? From 2027 a PDF can't be used. Until the end of 2029 you may agree with your customer on another electronic invoice format [1][2].
  • Customer not registered? Until 2030 you may invoice in other ways [1]. If you expected a registration, ask the customer to check it with their system provider [3].

Is it your own company?

Type your own organisation number and choose "my own company". If something isn't green, ask your system provider:

  • Is my organisation number registered as a receiver with you, and not still with my previous software?
  • Are both the invoice and the credit note registered? And self-billing, if a customer invoices on my behalf?
  • When does your access point certificate expire, and is the renewal planned?

From 1 January 2030 every bookkeeping-liable business must be able to receive e-invoices [1].
