PINT AE (United Arab Emirates) · Error: the invoice is rejected
ibr-159-ae A non-AED invoice has no exchange rate
What it means
When the invoice currency (BT-5) is not the UAE dirham (AED), PINT AE requires the currency exchange rate (BTAE-04, in UBL the tax exchange rate's calculation rate), so the VAT can be stated in AED. This invoice is in another currency and has no exchange rate.
Common causes
- An invoice in USD, EUR or another currency is generated without the exchange-rate block.
- Only the VAT accounting currency (AED) is set, but not the rate.
How to fix it
Add the exchange rate from the invoice currency to AED (at most 6 decimals), together with the VAT total in AED.
Who fixes it: The sender's invoicing software or its accredited service provider (ASP).
