PINT AE (United Arab Emirates) · Error: the invoice is rejected
ibr-128-ae A UAE address has no valid emirate code
What it means
Every address in the UAE (seller, buyer, tax representative, delivery) must name its emirate in the country subdivision field (BT-39, BT-54, BT-68, BT-79), using one of seven codes: AUH (Abu Dhabi), DXB (Dubai), SHJ (Sharjah), UAQ (Umm Al Quwain), FUJ (Fujairah), AJM (Ajman) or RAK (Ras Al Khaimah). An address here has another value or none.
Common causes
- The emirate is written out ('Dubai') instead of the code.
- An ISO 3166-2 code such as AE-DU is used instead of the PINT AE code.
- The subdivision field is empty, or the emirate is only part of the city line.
How to fix it
Store the emirate as one of the seven codes in the region field of each UAE address.
Who fixes it: Whoever maintains the addresses: the sender for its own address and its customers' addresses.
