Free e-invoicing in Slovakia

From 1 January 2027 every business in Slovakia must be able to receive e-invoices, and VAT payers must also send them to Slovak business customers. If you only receive a few invoices, or send a handful, it doesn't have to cost anything. The Financial Administration itself expects free solutions for businesses with few invoices ^[1].

These are the free and cheap options we found, with each vendor's own price list, checked on 9 October 2026. Prices are in EUR; we say whether the vendor quotes them with or without VAT. Every provider below is on the Financial Administration's register of certified providers, except KROS and SuperFaktúra, which are registered intermediaries of certified providers ^[17].

Watch the archive: some free plans keep invoices for only 90 or 120 days. If you are a VAT payer you must keep e-invoices for 10 years ^[16], so export them or choose a plan with an archive.

Free sending allowances (for VAT payers with few invoices)

• Faktúrovo: Free plan with 3 issued invoices a month and e-invoicing included; all features free until 31 December 2026 ^[10].
• Peppoš: 5 sent and 5 received invoices a month free, then EUR 0.16 per invoice from prepaid credit ^[12].
• Doklado: e-invoice services free on its Free plan, which processes 7 documents a month ^[11].
• efakturuj.sk: 50 documents a month in total, sent and received ^[15].
• Numiron: 10 issued e-invoices ^[8]; eFaktúra.sk: 5 e-invoices a month ^[9]; SLOVAKODATA: 5 sent ^[7]; ePošťák: 5 sent ^[6]; Everifin and Fakturix: 3 sent ^[4][5].

If you already use accounting software, ask your vendor first: KROS includes 50 sent e-invoices a month in its invoicing programs ^[13], and SuperFaktúra includes 50 in every package ^[14]. The Financial Administration also suggests checking with your software vendor before buying anything new ^[1].

How to choose

1. Not a VAT payer? A free receiving plan is enough. Pick one whose notifications and archive suit you.
2. VAT payer with a few invoices? Compare the free sending allowance with your monthly count, and what each extra invoice costs.
3. Remember: you can have only one provider for receiving, chosen on the Financial Administration portal ^[16]. Switching later is possible without a gap in receiving ^[16].
