About E-Invoice Map

E-Invoice Map is a free website that helps small businesses, freelancers and accountants deal with mandatory e-invoicing: who must do what by when, which providers exist and what they cost, and which provider a trading partner uses. We cover 9 countries: Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway, Slovakia, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and Oman.

It is a small, self-funded, independent project, run by a software engineer based in Barcelona. Legal details are in the legal notice.

What we are not

  • Not a provider. We don't issue, send or store invoices, and we don't sell e-invoicing software.
  • Not an authority. We are not affiliated with OpenPeppol, the European Commission, any tax authority or ministry. Official sources always win; we link to them so you can check.
  • Not a review site. We don't publish star ratings, testimonials or "best provider" verdicts we can't back with data. We never invent reviews.

How we stay neutral

  1. Every fact has a source. Obligations, dates, prices and certifications link to an official page or the vendor's own page, with the date we checked it.
  2. Data first. Provider pages show published facts: prices, free plans, formats, certifications. Where a price is "on request", we say so instead of guessing.
  3. Default order is disclosed. Provider lists are sorted by a stated, data-based rule (for example alphabetical, or by price where prices are public). The page always says which.
  4. Money never changes the data. Payments can buy a labelled placement. They cannot change a price, a deadline, a lookup result, a market share or a provider's position in a data table.
  5. Corrections are welcome from anyone. Vendors can claim their profile for free to correct facts, with evidence; competitors and readers can report errors too.

How we make money

The tools are free for everyone; only businesses that choose a paid plan pay us. Our income comes from:

Source What it is How you recognise it
Affiliate links Some links to software vendors pay us a commission if you buy. You pay the same price. Marked "Ad" next to the link; a disclosure appears on every page
Featured listings A vendor can pay for a highlighted spot at the top of a country or category page. Labelled "Featured"; shown separately from the data-sorted list
Paid plans Businesses can pay for customer-list monitoring, reports and an API. The free tools stay free. You choose and buy them yourself on the plans page; they never change a list or a fact
Sponsor slots (later) A banner on a country page or in a newsletter. Labelled "Sponsored"
Data reports (later) Paid, detailed versions of the market-share data for vendors, investors and analysts. Sold separately; the monthly summary stays free

Products that don't pay us are listed exactly like those that do. Many of the providers we list have no commercial relationship with us at all.

Where our data comes from

  • Peppol network data: the public Peppol Directory and the Peppol SML/SMP infrastructure, credited as "Peppol Directory (OpenPeppol AISBL)" [1]. Used for the lookup and the market-share report. We drop contact fields when we read the data, and we never redistribute raw dumps.
  • Official provider lists:
    • the UAE Ministry of Finance list of Accredited Service Providers [2];
    • the Belgian government list of compliant software [3];
    • the French list of approved platforms [4];
    • Norwegian sources on EHF and actors in Norway (DFØ) [5].
  • Laws and guidance: ministries and tax authorities in each country, linked on every page.
  • Vendor websites: prices, free plans and features, each with its source URL and check date.

Privacy, briefly

  • Viewer: the invoice viewer runs in your browser; files are never uploaded.
  • Lookup: it sends only the ID you type, and returns provider information, never company names or contact data. We don't offer "list all customers of provider X".
  • Analytics: privacy-friendly analytics without cookies.

Details are in the privacy policy.

Contact

Use Report a problem, linked at the bottom of every page. Vendors: claim your profile from your provider page. We don't send cold emails, and we don't sell your data.

Software companies that need hands-on help with Peppol or XRechnung output can send an enquiry: Integration help.
